So often in the past when bad things happened to me, I pointed the finger at others. Today I am letting go of this ridiculous behavior. Even when I thought I was a victim of someone else's terrible acts I've learned to look at my self and take ownership. I made countless decisions that led to my troubles, whether staying in a situation to long, overlooking someone else's character flaws, lowering my standards, or just ignoring obvious signs. I'm learning to to accept responsibility for my contributions to the drama in my life and stop playing the victim. The best part is, I realize that taking responsibility for my life feels good! Yes, this is so true and I have to stop playing the victim role. So often in the past when bad things happened to me, I pointed the finger at others. If anyone had reason to hold a grudge it was me and for awhile, I did. In order to regain my joy, I had to forgive, let go, and move on, and that’s what I did. Looking back on my own experiences, I have to admit that I'm guilty of this simply ridiculous behavior. There have been times when I reacted to things being said without fully understanding or considering the message but only hearing what I wanted to hear.
